The Sunrise Theater
Located at 117 South 2nd St in Downtown Fort Pierce the Sunrise is one of the oldest theaters in Florida. Built in 1922 and opening in 1923 the theater is on the National Registry for historic places. The theater went through some rough times and closed in 1983. In 1997 with the revitalization of Downtown Fort Pierce the theater was purchased and reopened in 2006. It has become an amazing success and features some really talented artists and musicians. Names like Kenny Rogers, Wynonna Judd, Howie Mandel and Michael Bolton are scheduled for 2015. Many local and talented artists are also being featured here.
