Fort Pierce waterfront restaurants

Your down visiting Fort Pierce and your staying on the beach at Hutchinson Island. Of course everyone who comes here wants to eat outside and look at the water and enjoy the warm weather. Maybe you just want some appetizers, maybe a few drinks and enjoy the sunset. Listen to the music after your day at the beach or maybe you were out fishing. That’s why you come to South Florida to enjoy outdoor living and dining.

Along the waterfront you will find several restaurants including Chucks Seafood an old favorite that has been a landmark her on the island for years. My favorite restaurant that I stumbled across is On the Edge located at 1136 Seaway Dr. I have been a frequent patron of the restaurant since discovering it. Not only is the view from the deck incredible and relaxing but you may want to try dinner or drinks down on the sand. Sitting down on the sand feels like your in the islands at a Caribbean resort. Sitting on the inlet you can watch the boats head back and forth through the inlet.

The menu includes fresh fish, steak, lobster and daily specials. I’m not much of  a desert eater but even the deserts were great. They have live music several nights a week and on the weekends. If its raining it Happy Hour!

If you want to go off the island try Cobbs Landing or the Tiki Bar which are both waterfront restaurants on the river. Downtown is also home to the Saturday morning green market.

Since buying an oceanfront condo in Ocean Village I continue to find new places to dine and relax on the island. There are many new places that have opened since the revitalization of the Inlet and The Edge is just one I have discovered and enjoyed. Coming from Jupiter I could not believe the value of the condos on Hutchinson Island. They prices are almost 50% less than a Jupiter beach condo. Sure some amenities are missing but there is still plenty of fun activities and places to enjoy and visit. Ocean Village offers 1 bedroom condos from just $70,000 and it offers all the amenities including a manned gate, golf course, tennis and several community pools. Oceanfront condos start at just under $300,000 and the Oceanhouse condos are newer condos with 9ft ceilings and great ocean views starting at just over $300,000.
