Today I visited several condos on North Hutchinson Island which is on the North side of the Inlet and about 10 miles to Vero Beach. Mostly condos make up the lower portion of the Island with a few single family homes. In several areas the River and the ocean are quite close so several condos may get water views in both directions. Today our price range was $200,000 to $275,000 which as many of you know finding an oceanfront condo in Jupiter or Boca Raton in that price range will be near impossible to find. It has been a while since coming here so I was quite curious to see what this buys here on the Island.
Ocean Harbour North Condo
Our first stop was 5159 N Highway A1A at the Ocean Harbour Condo. With 5 different building you have several different floor plan options as well as views available to you. The community has boat docks on the river that can be purchased or leased. Two community pools are in the complex with one sitting on the River near the boat docks. The condo building I went in today sat on the West side of A1A an d featured 5 units per floor with 8 stories. The end condos offer wrap around balconies and extra sliders and windows. The condo featured exterior catwalks and open parking with several garages available. The condos are about 1,100 sq. ft with stackable wash/dryer in the A/C -water heater closet. Built in 1980 you have the typical condo design with a kitchen towards the back that opens into living room. The community features two tennis courts and a clubhouse back near the River. The condo was priced at $199,000 and had an ocean view with a SE exposure.
Seaward at Atlantic View
The community features 3 buildings on the oceanfront property. We visited 5051 N Highway A1A which is direct oceanfront on the North side where the community pool is situated. They have tennis courts on site as well as a fitness center on the 2nd floor. They offer a river pier for kayak launching. Limited inside garage spaces with outside carports and outside garages. This building features 2 and 3 bedroom condos and was built in 1995 but still has the 8ft ceilings. The 2 bedroom condo is 1,257 sq. ft with wraparound balcony for great views down the ocean. The community is beautifully maintained and features the look and feel of a luxury oceanfront building. Gets my vote for best value at $265,000.
Barclay Beach Club
Located at 2800 N A1A this is the second condo as you enter the island. Built in 1986 the condo features a stacked floor plan so each condo get an ocean view. The condo features a non rectangular floor plan and has split bedrooms and a kitchen with eat in kitchen area separated from the living room. The kitchen wall may be removed to really open up the space. The community features a small fitness center as well as a club room. They share a tennis court with their neighbor to the South. The community pool sits on the South side of the building. The outside parking includes about a dozen outside garages that are available as well as carport spaces. Nicely designed building with plenty of windows and nice balconies. The condo was listed at $259,000 with a deeded outside garage.
Ocean Harbour South
Built in 1982 the 12 story condo has 8 units per floor and is located at 4250 N A1A. The 2 bedroom condo is just over 1,000 sq. ft and has the typical exterior catwalks with a kitchen opening to living area. They feature a stackable washer/dryer. The building has a non- manned gate and a community pool on the South side of the building. It features all open parking. It is your typical beachfront condo with very few amenities. Priced at $225,000
