The 3 condos in Ocean Village are part of the Oceanhouse complex which consists of 3 buildings on the beach. Built in 2003 the 4 story buildings are some of the best values in Ocean Village on Hutchinson Island. What makes these the best values here in the community? I showed Seascape and Capstan this week and what you get for the same price per sq. ft can not be compared. I must not be the only one as in the past few months every condo in the building that was for sale has been sold.
Oceanhouse Condo Features
Built in 2003 the condos feature CBS construction and meet the latest hurricane codes for building construction. The four story buildings have just 6 condos per floor and feature garage parking, 9ft ceilings with 8 ft glass sliders in the living area and off the master bedroom out to the extra large balcony which gives you views both out towards the beach and up and down the beach. The balcony has room for 48″ round table with 4 chairs and room for lounge chairs.
The master bedroom is quite spacious and has room for king bed and sofa with a pair of large windows that look out to the ocean and the sliders look down the beach. The master bath has large walk in closet and both a spa size tub and shower plus his and hers vanities. You also get a private pool for your condo as well. All have direct ocean views even from the 1st floor condos. All this for $250 per sq. ft which is the same as the Capstan community here in Ocean Village.

The Capstan models were built in 1975 with CBS construction and feature 8ft ceilings. The two and three story buildings that have ocean views are equal to a first floor ocean view in Oceanhouse. They feature small patios that many owners have taken and added to the living space of the units. The sliders are standard 6’8″ sliders instead of 8 ft sliders.
The master bedroom features no ocean views as in Oceanhouse and the closet in about half the size of the oceanhouse closet. The bathroom features a single vanity and a shower. Much less space than the Oceanhouse baths. There is no covered parking and they don’t have a private pool.
Why Oceanhouse vs Capstan Condos
At the same price per sq. ft why would you chose a Capstan over an Oceanhouse? This is the reasoning why the Oceanhouse condos are better values and are underpriced at $250 sq. ft. I expect to see the next Oceanhouse condos prices rising from $25,000 to $50,000 above current asking prices. At the prices we are seeing even for Capstan are nearly 25% or more less than Jupiter oceanfront condos. Many buyers are heading towards Hutchinson Island in search of less expensive condo living.
