Hutchinson Island – The season is here
This weekend I spent my Thanksgiving weekend at our Ocean Village condo in Fort Pierce. Ocean Village is located on South Hutchinson Island just South of the Inlet. Many of our neighbors are back for the season. Our morning walks on the beach with Luna our German Shepard we met many of the neighbors and their dogs who live in our condo building in Oceanhouse at Southpointe. Our condo is one of the few oceanfront condos that is a pet friendly condo that allows large dogs. A few of our neighbors are Molly the Yellow Lab who comes to visit our door each morning awaiting her beach friend. Our daily morning walk we met many of our returning neighbors back for the season. There were quite a few dogs on the beach each morning and they were quite excited to see their old friends.
Hutchinson Island Living
The Island seemed quite busy this year with many restaurants full for dinner and many tourists back visiting. Many out of state plates were the norm as you drove around the Island. The Saturday Farmers Market downtown was busier than ever. We’ll have a bit of a lull between now and Christmas but I expect season to be one of the best. I did here some buzz about a new waterfront bar being built by the owners of the Square Grouper in Jupiter Florida. Jupiter has become so popular that were are starting to see more business moving North following the people looking for a more affordable vacation home. Hutchinson Island condos offers a more affordable lifestyle than condos in Jupiter or other areas of Palm Beach County. With new restaurants, bars and activities going on we should continue to see strong demand for Hutchinson Island. As more and more amenities are added you will see the affordable lifestyle here on Hutchinson Island draw more winter residents.
